Adjust Components

Use the Adjust command on the Action menu associated with the BOM Processing form to adjust components included on a works order which is currently in work in progress. This means it only applies if you need to change the works order details after issuing but before completion. Prior to reaching the work in progress stage, works orders can be edited anyway if component adjustments need to be made. You can identify an assembly component on an existing works order to enter an adjustment quantity. The works order record is updated with a new line to reflect the difference and work in progress is updated accordingly.

The component adjustment can be for a component not already on the works order, although a warning will be displayed in this instance. This means you can add a new component from a modified assembly structure to ensure that works orders reflect the change. The quantity entry can be positive or negative, so you can affect the quantity of a particular component required for an existing works order. Component adjustments can be made for stocked components, including subassemblies and non-stock components.
