Assembly Cost Report

Use the assembly cost report to show the stock cost and calculated assembly cost for materials and for labour. A variance is printed for the difference between the stock cost and the total of materials and labour. You can choose the range of assembly records involved and options are provided asking if a summary report is required (the default setting) and whether prices are to be calculated from only one level. A heading line is printed for each assembly including the assembly code, description, whether it is a ‘Kitting’ assembly, lead time, yield, cost price, material cost and labour cost. For each component, the report lists the stock code, description, reference, quantity used, cost value (stock cost price multiplied by the quantity used), whether it is a phantom subassembly and whether it is a labour or material item. If the component has a memo, this is printed on a separate line. Totals are provided for labour and materials. Components are excluded from the summary report.

If the prices on the components on an assembly are held to a different number of decimal places (say some at 3 decimal places and some at 4 decimal places) then the total cost of the components will be rounded to two decimals.
