Summary

This release of Opera 3 SQL SE includes necessary updates as announced in the Chancellors Spring Statement to the Opera 3 PAYE/NI/Stat. Payments tables. These updates provide a new Employment Allowance and rate updates to cater for changes in how Directors National Insurance is to be calculated for the remainder of the 2022/23 tax year.

This release also includes a performance improvement to the Sales, Purchase and Cashbook Transfer routines where the process can now be run with exclusive locking, therefore leading to greater efficiency for sites who will not be impacted by the exclusive locking.

Statutory Changes

The Employment Allowance (EA) increasing by £1,000 from 6 April 2022 to £5,000.

An increase to the National Insurance Primary Threshold for Class 1 NICs and the Lower Profits Limit for Class 4 NICs from 6 July 2022, aligning it with the equivalent income tax personal allowance which is set at £12,570 per annum.

Sales, Purchase, Cashbook Nominal Transfer routines

A new checkbox called “Exclusive Only “has been added when setting the credentials for the Transfer routines for Sales, Purchase or Cashbook.  By selecting the checkbox, the transfer process will run at optimum efficiency, but other users will be stopped from processing in areas required to be locked.
