Check E-mail Status (Credit Management Centre)

If you send debt correspondence by email you must run the Check E-mail Status command before generating the correspondence. This will check the status of the previous email run and then make sure that each customer is updated with the correct status.

This is not necessary the first time debt correspondence is generated but must be done every other time.

Open the Sales Ledger - Credit Management form and select the Accounts tab. Then select Action - Company Debt Management - Check E-mail Status.

The Last received status boxes display the status in Opera 3 of the email debt correspondence that were last generated using the Generate Correspondence command.

The Updated status boxes display the status in Opera 3 of the debt correspondence emails.

Generation pending

Correspondence is yet to be converted to PDF files.

E-mail pending

Correspondence has been converted to PDF files but has not been sent to the SMTP server for transmission.

Generation/E-mail failed

Correspondence has either failed the conversion to PDF files or could not be sent to the SMTP server for transmission.

E-mail sent

Correspondence has been successfully converted to PDF files and has also been sent to the SMTP server for transmission.
