Summary |
This is a technological and functional release of PWX to support large Payroll datasets. As such both the data extraction and upload routines have been completely rewritten to allow data to be uploaded to PWX in batches. The impact of these changes will see significant performance improvements, particularly in the upload process and in large datasets, where we expect customers to see a noticeable difference. |

This webpage has been enhanced to allow the user to set the batch size in terms of the number of employee records to be uploaded in a batch, and also an option to determine whether all PSS payslips will be uploaded during a resynchronization event. |

This webpage now includes two new options to allow the content of the event grid to be filtered – one to allow Timesheets workflow events to be filtered out of the event grid, and one to allow Windows events to be filtered out. |

This webpage has also been enhanced such that, where data has been uploaded in more than one batch, an Event breakdown tab will be displayed which, when selected, will display a new Event breakdown webpage. The Event breakdown webpage, or webpages if more than 25 batches, will provide a summary of the content of each batch, and will also allow the PWX user to drill-down into each batch and display details of the batch status (which will be most useful where a batch has failed to upload or generated an upload warning). |

Summary |
This is a technical uplift release of Pegasus Web Xchange that supports Transport Layer Security protocol (TLS) (1.2). TLS (1.2) is the current standard for providing secure network communications. The software is available for download from the Infor Download Centre and Infor Xtreme. |
Transport Layer Security protocol (1.2) |
The Pegasus Web Xchange communications service has been uplifted so that all communication between Pegasus Web Xchange and Microsoft SQL Server now automatically uses the TLS protocol (1.2). |
New SQL Server database driver |
A new SQL Server database driver - MSOLEDBSQL - is required for TLS (1.2). The new driver is available for installation from the 'Prerequisites' folder included with the PWX (2.10) download installation files. Only the Client Components feature must be installed. The SDK is not required. This new driver must be installed on all PWX server machines. It is not required on the Opera 3 client PCs. |
Switching off older versions of TLS |
If administrators want to switch off older versions of TLS in environments using Opera 3 (VFP database), they can do so if they are certain that other software applications don't use the older versions. In Opera 3 SQL environments, the connection from Opera 3 to the SQL Server database will still use the old SQL Server database driver and TLS (1.0). In this environment, administrators will not be able to switch off older versions of TLS. |

This version of Pegasus Web Xchange includes changes to allow users' personal data recorded for their Pegasus Web Xchange account to be deleted by a Pegasus Web Xchange administrator. This is one of the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The following personal details can be recorded for each user account:
These user details can be deleted in the administration section of the website for the service being used (Payroll Self Service, TImesheets or Mobile Sales) by first using the Delete link and then the Delete archived user link on the new Archived Users tab page. Audit records are also deleted. If users cannot be deleted then their user name and surname, phone number and so on will automatically be anonymised. Administrator accounts must be retained for audit trail as they will have been used to change other user’s data. Deleting other employee personal data – address details, payslips and P60 details for example, must be done in Opera 3. The deletion will then be automatically propagated to Pegasus Web Xchange. Customers would have to install the current version of Pegasus Web Xchange and the latest version of Opera 3. |

This release works with Opera 3 (2.40) and later. New customers would have to take the current version of Pegasus Web Xchange and an updated Web Xchange client DLL program to allow the Mobile Sales app to access the 4 new stock fields. |
